The lower-level
Jewel Room has more than 1,200 square feet of carpeted space
surrounded by golden oak wainscoting and the original oak
fireplace. Antique prints, stained glass and mirrors complete
the historic character of the room. A century-old oak dining
table and carved sideboard are available for use.
A built-in
sound system and recessed projection screen facilitate social
and business functions alike. The rooms sophisticated
lighting system supports a wide range of events. Two sleek,
modern restrooms serve this hospitality area.
The
chandeliers in all three main floor formal parlors are original
to the mansion. In the small, round library, the spindle-fronted
window seats, bookcases and fireplace mantle are all curved
to match the rooms shape. The crest and fleur de lis
carved into the mansions stone exterior are echoed in
the intricate carvings in the library and family parlor.
