The Van Dusen’s sumptuous surroundings promise to transport you to another time and place—without going beyond downtown Minneapolis.

The Van Dusen Center is minutes from the Minneapolis Convention Center and downtown, and just blocks from a freeway interchange. Ample free parking is adjacent to the Center.

The facility offers a variety of flexible spaces to suit the needs of smaller groups to receptions of up to 350 people.

The Mansion
The centerpiece of the Van Dusen Center is a fully restored 1892 mansion. The

mansion offers several spaces that accommodate small to medium-size groups.

Its features include:

• Dramatic central staircase lighted by a stained glass skylight
• Music Room with fireplace and grand piano
• Dining room paneled in oak and tapestry
• Carved wood and tile fireplaces
• Antique furnishings and appointments throughout

The lower-level Jewel Room has more than 1,200 square feet of carpeted space surrounded by golden oak wainscoting and the original oak fireplace. Antique prints, stained glass and mirrors complete the historic character of the room. A century-old oak dining table and carved sideboard are available for use.

A built-in sound system and recessed projection screen facilitate social and business functions alike. The room’s sophisticated lighting system supports a wide range of events. Two sleek, modern restrooms serve this hospitality area.
